TERMS

19 hours per week to be worked over 3 days – Monday & Wednesday all day, Thursday half day.

25 days holiday plus 8 days public holidays pro rata (35 hours full-time)

Salary £18K - £19K pro rata, starting salary dependent on experience

Hybrid working i.e. a mix of home and office working.  Split to be agreed depending on circumstances.

BACKGROUND

ERIC, The Children’s Bowel & Bladder Charity, is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with continence problems (daytime wetting, night-time wetting, constipation, soiling and toilet training).

Childhood continence problems are more common than people realise: 1 in 12 children suffer with one and the emotional impact on their lives can be considerable.  For many of the children and families who struggle to cope with these distressing conditions, ERIC is the only place they can come to for support, understanding and the information they need. We also work hard to improve services for children with continence needs in health and education settings, and to drive up standards of training through our acclaimed seminars for professionals. 

This is an exciting time for ERIC as we build on our successful delivery of online training. The Training Administrator post has arisen due to increased demand for our training. As confidence returns post-Covid, we anticipate moving to a hybrid model of online, face to face training and a blend of both.

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Training Administrator will support the promotion, planning, set up and facilitation of training that ERIC delivers mainly to healthcare professionals, early years practitioners, parents and carers. 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Respond to phone and email enquiries regarding ERIC training.

  • Liaise with ERIC trainers to agree dates and training content.

  • Add training events to the ERIC website and create the booking system on Eventbrite.

  • Assist with promotion of training events e.g. adding to event listings, emailing existing contacts, posting on social media.

  • For face-to-face training, arrange venues and book hotels & travel for ERIC trainers where necessary.

  • Process manual bookings offline.

  • Issue relevant documentation such as contracts and invoices and keep budget spreadsheet up to date.

  • Set up Zoom webinars for online training.

  • Email joining instructions to attendees.

  • Prepare and send out accompanying training materials such as leaflets and delegate packs.

  • Facilitate online training sessions in partnership with the ERIC trainer including delivering an introduction to ERIC and assisting with case studies and Q&A.

  • Email links to recordings, evaluation surveys and certificate creation to attendees after training events.

  • Extract data from Survey Monkey to create evaluation reports for training.

  • Assist with the development of online and blended learning.

  • Organise and/or attend relevant external exhibitions on ERIC’s behalf as appropriate.

Person Specification

Essential

  1. Experience of working in a customer service and administration environment.

  2. Confident and willing to learn how to use online platforms such as SurveyMonkey, Eventbrite, Teams, Zoom.
      
  3. Good attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written which can be applied to different audiences.

  5. Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

  6. A strong team player, willing to share ideas and work collaboratively with colleagues.

  7. Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently using own initiative.

  8. Skilled in the use of IT including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

  9. Experience of using social media in a planned way, including Facebook, Twitter and forums.

  10. Flexibility to attend training and events which are occasionally outside of contracted hours. This may include Saturdays from time to time.

Desirable:

  1. Experience of using Salesforce or an alternative customer relationship management system.

  2. Experience of using MailChimp.

  3. Work experience or involvement in a charity.

  4. Experience of childhood bedwetting, daytime wetting, constipation, soiling and potty training.

  5. An empathy with ERIC’s cause.
