The Astric Dry Bed bedwetting alarm consists of a small, well-designed and sensitive control unit and a light and comfortable detector pad, which is placed over the mattress. When the child wets the bed and the first drops of wee touch the pad and the alarm sounds.
A parent recently purchased this alarm and says:
Very fast delivery the alarm worked well but finding terry towelling sheets was impossible. I used a towel instead, anything less produced false alarms.
After being woken up over several nights, the child will either wake up before they do a wee or will learn to sleep through the night without wetting the bed.
Bedwetting alarm features:
- Three selectable tones and volumes
- Discreet, modern design
- Comes with soft, durable and comfortable detector pad
- Guaranteed for three months
- Reverse of pad has grained effect plastic which prevents pad from slipping
- Reliable and quick results
The pad should be placed under a draw sheet or towel and can be easily cleaned with soap and water.
Bedside alarms are very sensitive and can require ongoing adjustments to the sheet that is placed on top of the mat if the temperature and humidity change. Sweaty skin can trigger the alarm. The use of synthetic fabrics can create static electricity and may cause the alarm to sound when dry. We recommend that natural fibres such as cotton should be used for all bedding.
