Poo in a speech bubbleWe're looking for parents of children who've struggled with constipation to share their views to help other families in the future.

What is the study about?
More and more it’s appreciated that for many conditions patients and their families often become the experts when it comes to managing their health. We are keen to speak with ALL families who can spare a little time to talk about their experience with their child’s constipation.

It’s important to us that everyone’s voices and opinions are heard equally, therefore we’d be particularly grateful to any parents or carers who identify as being from an ethnic minority background who willing to talk to us about your families’ experience.

How can I help?
We would like to invite you to take part in a small group discussion on MS Teams lasting about 1 hour with a few other parents to talk about your child’s difficulties with bowel control.

When and where?
The sessions will take place online on Microsoft Teams, if you haven’t used it before it’s just like many other platforms. You won’t need to download any specific software to take part we will simply send you a link to click and join at the time.

The sessions are planned for:

  • 14 Dec 2021 at 10.30am
  • 16 Dec 2021 at 6.00pm
  • 10 Jan 2022 at 10.30am (mums only)
  • 12 Jan 2022 at 6.00pm

If you can’t make any the above sessions but are still keen to help, please get in touch and we’d be happy to see what we can do to make that possible.

How can I sign up?
Before agreeing to take part it’s important you read and understand the patient information leaflet (PDF download).

If you are happy to go ahead and share your views with us, please fill out the consent form (PDF download). If you have any questions please let us know and we will try to help.

The completed consent form should be emailed to [email protected] Please state in your email which of the above four dates you can be available for. We will reply inviting you to one of the sessions you have indicated.
