As outlined in a statement by ERIC's CEO, Juliette, faced with reduced income we have been left with no option but to furlough most of ERIC’s staff. On 1 April staff will cease work until 1 June.

We want to reassure you that this does not mean the ERIC website has to close or that you are alone. Our free Helpline service is still open and we are here to support you and your family.

There are some immediate changes to many of our services as follows:

  • Our Freephone Helpline is open Monday to Thursday 10am to 2pm 0808 169 9949 with our expert advisor Natalie working from home. If the lines are busy, we would urge you to fill out our online form and either Natalie or one of volunteer nurses will call you back when they can.
  • Dealing with wee and poo problems can be very isolating at the best of times, so for peer to peer support from other parents and carers who ‘get it’ head to our community message boards on HealthUnlocked. Our signposting page also has lots of other organisations and support groups listed.
  • With more time at home, you may decide over the coming weeks to tackle your child’s bedwetting, ongoing constipation, daytime bladder issues or give potty training your best shot. Use the ERIC website, our free downloadable guides or call our helpline for heaps of practical tips and reliable information on treating and managing children’s bowel, bladder and toileting issues.
  • ERIC's online shop has been closed until further notice. All orders received up until 26 March have been processed and dispatched. Our free leaflet service has also been suspended.
  • Our Paediatric Continence Care Conference Birmingham this October is under review. Further information can be found on the conference subsite
  • If you have an urgent query please email [email protected]. No other ERIC email accounts will be checked whilst the rest of our team are furloughed.

We need your support now more than ever.
