Rhia Weston and Fernando Favero, who moved to Bristol from Hampshire nine months ago, tied the knot on May 3rd and raised money for their chosen charity, ERIC, at the same time.

The couple had an open bar at the wedding reception but asked guests to contribute to an ‘honesty jar.’ Guests donated a total of £217 to ERIC.

Rhia, who is the Communications and Campaigns Manager at ERIC, said: ‘I’d read somewhere that a couple had donated money from their wedding to charity and thought it would be so easy for Fernando and I to do the same. It’s such a simple way to raise funds and spread the word about ERIC at the same time.’

Anna Henry, ERIC’s Fundraising Officer, said: ‘We are so grateful to Rhia and Fernando for thinking of ERIC and all the children and families suffering with bladder and bowel conditions on their very special day. They have shown that when you think outside the box, there are many creative ways to fundraise for your chosen charity.’
