ERIC’s recent online survey revealed that 60% of families wait over a year before seeking help for childhood continence problems like bedwetting, daytime wetting, constipation and soiling.

Over 1,000 families were surveyed in May 2012. The survey also revealed that 82% of families wished they found out about the help available from ERIC earlier.

ERIC is dedicated to supporting children and families suffering with wetting and soiling problems and this summer we launched our 'Stop the Issue Ballooning' campaign - encouraging families to get help early on.

Jenny Perez, ERIC’s Director said; “We regularly hear from parents that contact ERIC say they wish they got help earlier. The earlier families get help for childhood continence problems, the better. There is no need for children and young people to suffer unnecessarily and in the majority of cases, a solution can be found."
