Sammy Randall is a Highly Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist at The Children’s Trust, delivering neuro-rehabilitation to children with Acquired Brain Injury.

Since graduating from Coventry University, she has worked with children with a range of conditions and complex needs, and in particular with children with physical disability and neurological conditions.

Sammy has worked in a variety of settings, including in mainstream and special schools, children’s homes and community settings.

Whilst working for the NHS, Sammy set up an integrated continence service in collaboration with her nursing colleagues. This resulted in children achieving greater outcomes in relation to toileting independence.

Sammy’s special interest areas are paediatric neurodisability, self-care, childhood participation, early intervention and evidence based practice. Her interest in therapeutic interventions to promote toileting independence has been developing and consolidating through practice over recent years.
