ERIC’s CEO, Juliette Rayner outlines the impact Covid-19 Pandemic has had on the charity so far and how we are adapting to new ways of delivering our services.

Words cannot express my gratitude to all our supporters and volunteers for their encouragement, help and ongoing commitment over the past three months. Thank you doesn’t seem enough, but your kind words and actions have really helped us keep going through such a challenging time for everyone.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 we have been on a roller coaster of changing emotions as well as adapting to life in lockdown and all that entailed. 

Thanks to the generosity of our community of supporters we have been able to continue to provide our Helpline service for families throughout this difficult period. We know many NHS continence services have reduced during this time, and so our Helpline advisors have been even more in demand by families who have nowhere else to turn.

During June and July, the ERIC team will gradually return to work part-time (from home). We will do our best to continue with our existing services where we can.  The government guidelines and social distancing rules will inevitably create delays so please bear with us while we adapt to new ways of working.

We will be focusing on accelerating our plans to develop new accessible online services for parents, carers, children as well as health, education and early years professionals. Please keep an eye on our website for further updates as they become available. 

None of us know what the future holds but from all of us at ERIC we wish you well as we all look forward to new beginnings and the new normal.
