Sharon FareySharon started her nursing career at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge and qualified RGN in 1983. She has worked in a variety of adult and paediatric settings and in the last 15 years has worked in primary care, initially as a Community Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, then as a Public Health School Nurse.

As a School Nurse, Sharon has recently completed a secondment specialising in the treatment of school age children’s bladder and bowel continence issues. She has become a passionate ambassador of providing “an equitable continence service for all children so they can have the joys of childhood without the worries of bladder and bowel problems”.

Sharon has joined ERIC as a trainer on our Early Intervention Programme and hopes her enthusiasm will help inspire change. She also works as an independent bladder and bowel Nurse Advisor supporting children, families and specialist teams with all aspects of continence.

When not working, Sharon enjoys playing the saxophone and flute with her daughter, whilst their dog tries to sing along too!
