Louise Marsland MSc (Health Research) RN (child) and HV/ CPT, FETC

Louise is a Paediatric Nurse Specialist leading and developing a new Children and Young People’s (CYP) Integrated Bladder and Bowel service in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. She has experience of nursing children as a Sister at Great Ormond Street and has worked as a community nurse for the past 25 years. She is a Solihull trainer and supervisor and one of the iHV Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Champions for Newcastle.

She recently visited Copenhagen to examine research into mono-symptomatic enuresis, is a member of the International Children’s Continence Society (ICCS) and has been instrumental in the formation of the NE Bladder and Bowel Special Interest Group. She works closely with the North East Autistic Society (NE-AS) to provide parent and professionals workshops for children with ASD. She has recently been awarded a £5,000 grant by the GNCH foundation to develop a parent pack for children with bladder and bowel conditions.

Louise is a Q member for the Northeast and works alongside the Paediatric gastroenterology and urology tertiary teams managing complex continence problems.
