Training Meet the trainers Claire Lindsay - Senior Specialist Paediatric Bladder & Bowel Care Nurse Claire started her nursing career in 1984 - and completed her RSCN at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1987. Following a move to Devon in 1994, she undertook the Specialist Practitioner Community Children’s Nursing Degree and held a post as a Community Children’s Nurse. Over the past 10 years she has been working as a Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Nurse and leads an Integrated Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Service. She now manages a team of four other Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Nurses commissioned to provide a service all across Devon - seeing children with bladder and bowel dysfunction from primary nocturnal enuresis, daytime wetting and idiopathic constipation to the more complex neuropathic bladder and bowel difficulties. The service also sees and assesses all children eligible for continence products and provides a Continence Promotion Service. Claire is a member of the Paediatric Continence Forum and also Secretary for the British Association of Paediatric Continence & Urology Nurses. She can often be seen wild swimming off the gorgeous coast and hidden beaches of Devon and Cornwall.
