Carol Joinson is a Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology in the School of Social and Community Medicine, University of Bristol.

She has been an active researcher in the area of paediatric incontinence since 2004, when she first became involved in a collaborative project with ERIC and the Children of the 90s study. She recently obtained funding from the Medical Research Council to further examine risk factors and adverse impacts of continence problems in children and young people. She has helped to develop the content in the Teens section of the ERIC website.

Carol became a member of the Paediatric Continence Forum in 2015.
