Aled Griffiths - Ambassador for Mitrofanoff Support and Colostomy UK. Aled Griffiths is a 14 year old young man who lives in Plymouth. He was born in 2003 with a rare medical condition called VACTERL Association. This condition meant a lot of time in hospital having various operations. Since he was eight he has spent his spare time doing presentations to promote both his condition and the charities that he is involved with. He is an ambassador for Mitrofanoff Support as well as for Colostomy UK. This work has led to some high profile awards, firstly the Rotary Young Citizen Award and the Diana Award in 2015 but most recently the British Citizen Youth Award in October 2017 which was awarded at the Palace of Westminster for the charitable work that he does.
