Stories & News Blog Why buy from ERIC? ERIC’s Sales Coordinator, Jayne Loveridge, has worked for the charity since 2003. Jayne is passionate about offering good customer service and the positive difference our products make to children and teenager’s wellbeing. Since ERIC was first established as a charity almost 30 years ago, our online shop has played a vitally important role in the support that we’re able to offer children and teenagers with a bladder or bowel problem. Meeting the needs of our customers In the UK an estimated 900,000, or 1 in 12, 5-19 year olds suffer from bowel and bladder conditions such as bedwetting, daytime wetting, constipation and soiling*. At ERIC, we are always looking for ways to develop our expertise and to ensure we can help even more families live better, fuller lives. One of the key ways we to do this is through our online shop and the many years’ experience we have of meeting the needs of our customers. Our Finance Manager, Diane Starr Savage says: “ERIC should be very proud that for over 20 years we have not only been able to offer expert customer service when buying our products, but have been able to support customers with the added benefit of its experienced helpline.” What the shop offers We’re very proud of our recently relaunched online shop supplying a wide range of life-changing continence products to help children and teenagers overcome or manage bowel or bladder problems. There are around 200 different items available from bedwetting alarms and vibrating watches to bedding protection, books and clothing. We also have products for children who are toilet training and those with additional needs. Support and troubleshooting I believe what makes the ERIC shop so special is our knowledge of the products and our relationship with the families and health professionals who are buying from us. We make time to talk to our customers to find out which products will best suit their needs. We’re also on hand to answer any follow up trouble shooting queries and can pass customers on to our helpline advisors if they need more in-depth information and support about the bladder and bowel problems they are dealing with. Andy, a recent customer emailed me to say: “Thank you so much for all your help and I have included £20 as a donation to cover the postage expenses you have incurred in helping us out. We really appreciate everything you did." Every penny spent counts We work very hard with our suppliers to make sure our prices are competitive. The most important thing for me is that when you buy from us, all profits from these sales go back into funding our work. We receive no financial support from the Government to run our vital services. Income from our shop sales goes straight back into our work so that we can help more children and families in need. When you buy from us, all profits from these sales go back into funding our work. At the checkout, you'll be given an option to add a donation to your purchase. Please give what you can, if you can, to help transform another child's life.
