We want to expand the work that we do supporting teenagers so that they can live free from the shame and isolation that are commonly experienced by those struggling with continence problems.

Guided by them, we will create resources and forums to help them manage bladder and bowel conditions in every day situations such school, overnight trips, and as they start further education or employment.

Bethan shares her story of what life is like with a bladder condition.

"My name is Bethan, I’m 13 years old and I have an overactive bladder. From a very young age, I have been ashamed because of it. Just last week, I had to find another excuse to avoid staying overnight at my friend’s house. My bladder issues are always on my mind and they affect everything I do. In the changing room after PE, I’m scared I will leak. Even walking to school is a challenge in case I suddenly need a wee.

Sometimes, I feel like a monster - like I've done something wrong. My friends don't understand it's a medical condition and they laugh at me.

I'd like to be able to join a teen support group so I can talk to other people my own age who have a similar problem and maybe even meet up with them one day."

Please donate what you can today so that teenagers like Bethan can access the emotional support they need to enjoy life to the full.
