This website provides information and support on childhood bedwetting, daytime wetting, constipation and soiling to children, young people, parents and professionals.

Welcome to the Teens' section

Welcome to the teens’ section of ERIC’s website! We are glad you found time to visit and we hope that you will come back often.

The website aims to answer your questions about bladder and bowel problems. You can also  email us for confidential support.

The conditions we talk about on this site are very common, here are some statistics:

  • 1 in 40 teenagers regularly wet the bed
  • 1 in 100 teenagers experience daytime wetting
  • 1 in 100 teenagers have soiling accidents

We also try to show that wetting and soiling problems don't have to stop you from doing the things that other young people do, or from enjoying life to the max!

You can read other young people’s stories in this part of the website, look at our FAQs and post a message.

If you post a message on the message board, you won’t be able to see it straightaway because we read all the messages first to make sure people are being friendly and helpful. Messages that aren’t nice don’t get posted. We decide whether or not to post a message. We may also change the text if we need to.

We take out any information that could let people find out where you live and your
email address, to protect you. Visit the trusteric message board by clicking here.

If you are a younger child, please visit the children’s section of the website.
