You don't need to register to post a message on the message board.

Moderated for your protection

If you post a message on the message board, you won’t be able to see it straightaway because we read all the messages first to make sure people are being friendly and helpful. Messages that aren’t nice don’t get posted.

We decide whether or not to post a message. We may also change the text if we need to. We take out any information that could let people find out where you live and your email address, to protect you.

Quick Guide: how to use the ERIC Message Boards

• Click on the link ‘Go to the Message Board’ to enter the Message Board page 
• Click on ‘general’ to go to the threads (threads are topics of discussion) 
• Click on ‘New Thread’  to start a new topic of discussion 
• To reply to a message, click on ‘reply’ – another screen will appear into which you can add and submit your response 
• When replying to a thread you have the option of registering a name. If you don’t enter a name your messages will show as ‘anonymouse’ 
• To return to the list of threads, click on ‘Home’ 
• Navigate backwards and forwards through threads using the keys at the bottom of the page 
• Click on the box at the bottom of the page to receive an email alert when a new thread is started 
• Question marks indicate that a message query is unresolved 
• Messages can be rated for their usefulness
