Welcome to the About ERIC section of our website.
ERIC (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence) is a national children’s health charity dealing with bedwetting, daytime wetting, constipation and soiling in children and young people. ERIC provides information, support and resources to families and health professionals. You can find out more about what ERIC does at What is ERIC? and by visiting the Services and Resources section of the site.
ERIC is the 2007 overall winner of the national GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Award! This award is for small and medium-sized charities in the community health field. IMPACT stands for Innovation, Management, Partnership, Achievement, Community Focus and Targeting Need.
The assessment, carried out by the King’s Fund, was rigorous, so we were particularly pleased to have been selected from over 300 applicants. ERIC’s innovative approach to its activities was commented upon by the IMPACT Award judges.
Niall Dickson, Chief Executive of the King’s Fund, described ERIC as “a pioneer in so many ways….It has been a beacon of light, speaking out and championing an area that affects so many children and their families.”
